H1: to assess the distribution of the relevant vegetation types that occur in the three exploratories in Germany, i.e. to reveal where and when particular species combinations occur or have occurred elsewhere in Germany, and to describe temporal trends

H2: to predict the potential maximum richness of plant species for all exploratory plots and to identify indicator species for species richness

H3: to assess the probability of occurrence of so far lacking species and to relate this probability to species traits and functional diversity of plots.
